Electroformed copies for archiving and exhibition purposes
To protect cultural heritage from negative environmental effects and vandalism, it is often necessary to remove the original works of art from the public space and replace them with accurate copies.
Electroforming/Electrotyping is well suited for the production of such copies from both historical and artistic points of view because it follows the processes commonly used in the creation of metal sculptures and commemorative plaques.
Unlike casting, electroforming produces copies that are accurate to the finest detail, at much lower production costs.
